About Dr. Captain
Internal medicine physician, Jill F. Captain, MD, MPH, brings over 25 years of experience in internal and occupational medical care to AllCare Family Medicine and Urgent Care of Arlington, located in Arlington, Virginia.
Dr. Captain began her professional education at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, where she received her bachelor’s degree. After graduation, she remained in Charlottesville, enrolling at the University of Virginia School of Medicine, earning her Doctor of Medicine.
Two years later, Dr. Captain entered private practice, opening Secure Medical Care in Gaithersburg, Maryland. She served as medical director and owner, providing urgent care, occupational medical care, and drug and alcohol testing services.
In 1995, Dr. Captain returned to school, enrolling at George Washington University in Washington, DC, where she earned her Master of Public Health.
Since 2005, Dr. Captain has owned and operated an occupational medicine consulting firm, CMA Services, LLC, in Bethesda, Maryland. Dr. Captain provides Competent Medical Authority (CMA) services for Department of Defense contractors, including Department of Transportation (DOT) physicals and DOT and non-DOT drug and alcohol testing. She also provides administrator services for regional and national employers.
In addition, Dr. Captain’s professional experience includes a post as Employee Medical Examiner (EME) for Montgomery County Fire/Rescue Occupational Medical Services, a position she held from August 2010 until May 2018. As EME, Dr. Captain provided direct care for the Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Occupational Medical Services team and acted as the final authority on all issues pertaining to medical certifications of fire and rescue department employees.
Dr. Captain is a Certified Medical Review Officer (AAMRO), a BAT trainer, and current in both CPR and ALS. She welcomes any family seeking preventive or internal medicine care in the Arlington, Virginia, area.
